CCM MOT Test Centre is headed up by Barry Babister. Barry first set up the MOT Testing business in Rusper back up in 1996 with his best friend from school, Stuart White.

Stuart and Barry have been taking things apart and putting them back together since the age of 4, which included anything from engines and all types of machinery. Driving diggers was always Barry’s ambition and went on to pursue his childhood dream. But by 1988 Barry was bored with driving and set up a small groundwork and demolition contracting business. 

Age, experience and demand steadily grew over the years for both Stuart and Barry, and so decided to change career paths again. In 1992 Barry and Stuart set up CCM in Ewhurst. A large 1600sq.ft workshop being was built - the entire building was salvaged from demolition works being carried out by Barry and his diggers. This was followed by the addition of a 1800sq.ft bodyshop building at the same site. The business was now able to cover all MOT Testing, servicing, car maintenance and accident repair works to all types of vehicles.

In 1996, Barry decided to set up another branch of CCM in Rusper so finally packs up his construction company. The BCR brand is created as the bodywork and recovery arm of CCM, to the now well established CCM business. The BCR business soon becomes locally recognisable by its self drive rental fleet of bargain cars heavily stickered and painted in bright yellow.

Over the next 5 years, steady growth is achieved by adding more servicing, accident repairs and an MOT Testing Station. The accident repair work lead to the addition of recovery vehicles, and self drive hire vehicles.

The business has gone from strength to strength and between the two branches at Rusper and Ewhurst and with the selection of new skilled staff we are now able to offer our customers a full range of motor vehicle servicing, MOT testing, repairs for all makes and models.    

The team at CCM is headed up by Stuart White, our owner, who excels at all levels of car maintenance and this has resulted in him winning numerous awards across the years. Between the nine of us there is always somebody who can answer any question you may have about your car, no matter how small or insignificant you might think it is. We really are here to help.

Busy doing all sorts and working mainly at Crawley, Barry enjoys the cut and thrust of keeping customers happy, whilst always trying to improve the service we supply and the facilities we work from.
